ENORMOUS AT FULL SIZE. Click it twice to see~ Stuff I've posted to my tumblr over the past few months. I update that way more frequently than DA since I can throw WIPs and crappy sketches and stuff there easily! So if you wanna see stuff like this often, follow me over there, too! Anyways, mostly my characters but a couple sketches for other people, too. The sittin' down Luke with his tongue out there started out as an anatomy practice sketch from this and later I turned it into a Luke. Couple of practice sketches of Danny Trejo up at the top from reference images. Two LINEplay avatars (the lil animals). Another drawing I started of Prince of the Triangulum with his super fancy sword, but I started hating it so I scrapped it for now until I have the time to go back to it. And then of course, a bunch of WIPs for the Vale character sheets. Luke is almost done, but I've been working on pages, so I had to put the sheets on hold for a while until the first update is online.
aaaah I can't stop seeing this!! is so amazing! the character clothes sheets are amazing!! and all those sketches...I love the wonder woman one! and there's a little one with those dark strikes above that makes it super interesting! beautiful!
Ok, first I'd like to say I love your artwork and find it all amazing. but I've been wondering, why do you put that line/shape defining the end of the nose? It's unique and very indicative of your style for me, so I always recognize your stuff, but I was wondering why it's there? it is for stylistic purposes or to define features more?
Haha, for me, it helps to define the shape of the nose. It's probably some kind of cheat or laziness something, but I use it to help define the shape of the tip. For some characters, I draw it longer and thinner to indicate a longer nose with a straighter tip, and for other characters I make it shorter and rounder to indicate a more bulbous or up-turned shape. Anyways, one day I'll probably abandon it and look back at old art and hate it or something. x)
lol I figured as much but just wanted to be sure x3, personally I like it, it's almost like a signature on your work, a stylistic choice that makes it all easily identifiable, though your style in general is already identifiable, your stuff is very distinctive.
I LOVE dumps! Personally, I thinks dumps is used incorrectly, because they more resemble a diamond mine, but anyway. I love every single thing on there, especially those very good looking guys who just happen to be missing a couple pieces of clothing...
Haha, thank you so much! I usually find that I love an artists' sketch dump the best, too! Like a big field full of purty flowers. x) And haha, yeah! I need to draw another guy like that sometime soon~ (;
I do realize I'm probably repeating myself here, but the way you draw males is just.... arggggh! Great anatomy, love those proportions and those torsos - not too buff but not overly skinny either. Just perfectly toned, sexah male bodies! Yay
